When you’re out of the house, it’s important to always call your local 911 center for assistance, even if you’re only thinking about yourself.
And even though there are many ways to get the help you need in emergencies, some of them may not be immediately accessible to you, according to experts.
The California Department of Public Health recommends calling 911 if you see a “foul-smelling, unusual odor or odor of a gas leak.”
In that case, you might want to call the emergency number that was assigned to you and ask for assistance.
But other emergency centers may be more specific and help you locate an emergency number for your area.
And if you need help getting a car towed, that could be the right call.
